Things come in three’s so here is the third ‘net related story for the day: British researchers found that Apple devices were tracking users’ movements for months and they are waiting for the official response from Apple’s Steve Jobs.

“By passively logging your location without your permission Apple have made it possible for anyone from a jealous spouse to a private investigator to get a detailed picture of your movements”, said the researchers, “This is available to anyone who can get their hands on your phone or computer.”

Wall Street Journal has written an article saying iPhones collect location information even when Location Services is turned off. And Google’s Android phones also transmit location info to Google servers every hour.
