A company specialising in development of authentication and traceability solutions for use in an increasing number of applications including personal identity protection, brand protection, and the traceability of goods has announced it is opening an R&D centre in Sydney. NISS Technologies’ parent company is the creator of NANO-ID, a unique physical mark which is placed onto host objects. This technology is used to prevent counterfeiting of access card’s ID cards and passports. The new centre will use nanotechnology, polymer science, microfabrication, optoelectronics systems, advanced reading algorithms and cryptology.
