US survey company Forrester has revealed that its survey of 40,000 Americans from all walks of life has shown that for the first time the Internet equals television as a pastime.

Americans have been watching an average of 13 hours of TV a week for a while and now the Net has hit the same – 13. Whilst TV watching is consistent the number of people “relaxing in front of the Net” has leapt 121% in 5 years.
