Qantas has copped a bit of flak over its social media this year…there was a case of angry passengers complaining about the lack of service… and today they have announced that the Twitter account @QantasMedia has had its wings clipped. It’s staying on the runway. This is the Twitter account they have used to break news to the media. Their message is that they want people to go to their website instead. They join a group of A-listers (think Woolworths, Coles) who have been bitten by social media in recent times to the point of shutting it down.
